State Level NTSE-1 Exam is Conducted By State Education Board, Ajmer (Rajasthan) for the state and Selected  Candidates will be recommended for NTSE STAGE 2 Level Which happens under the supervision of NCERT Delhi.


After clearing both stages, Approximately 1000 students will be selected for a monthly scholarship. (After Stage 2 Exam).

candidates will be selected in stage -I and their names will be recommended to NCERT, New Delhi for appearing in stage-II of the examination.

Rajasthan State Quota for Stage 2 will be decided by NCERT.


Eligibility for NTSE Exam


Students studying in class 10th in the current academic year from any recognized school in Rajasthan including Kendriya Vidyalaya(Central School) by KVS, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya by Navodaya Samitis and schools affiliated to C.B.S.E. & I.C.S.E. Boards and Rajasthan Boards.

Any Regular student of Class 10th from a recognized school and having minimum 55% (for General & 50% for Rest categories) in class 9th last year.

Candidate failed in class X is not eligible to sit in examination.

Students studying through ODL mode i.e.NIOS, SOS etc. can also apply provided he/she is not employed and is below the age of 18 years as on 01.07.2018 .



Examination Fee:

There will be an Application Fee With and Without late fee option

For SC/ST/PWD (without Late Fee) Rs 140/-

NTSE Stage 1 Exam Pattern:


From this year onwards English will not be the part of NTSE Exam and There will be NO Negative Marking for Any Wrong Question.

MAT Will Have Reasoning Type Questions to test Logical Ability of Students. Mental Ability Test will have 100 questions for 100 Marks.



SAT will Have Questions Testing Subject Knowledge of Students In Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Social Sciences. Scholastic Aptitude Test for 100 Marks with 100 Questions comprising Sciences (40) and Mathematics (20) Social Sciences (40).Each Question Carries one mark. All questions are Multiple Choice Questions with four options.



There will be no Language Comprehensive Test.


Medium of The exam -English, Hindi 




 There is a minimum cutoff requirement of 40 % in MAT and SAT separately for general category.

 and minimum cutoff of 32 % in MAT and SAT for SC/ST/PH (both paper separately)



NTSE Scholarship Detail:


All selected (1000) students will get a monthly scholarship as per decided by NCERT, Delhi. Here Selected Means Final Selection In the Merit List Prepared by NTSE After Two Stages of Examination.

  • For Intermediate students (11th and 12th) – Rs. 1250 per Month.
  • For Under Graduation & Post Graduation Students – Rs. 2000 per Month.
  • For PhD students – As per UGC Norms

Last week of January 2019 Result is generally declared in Last week of January. Only selected Candidates can appear in NTSE stage 2 exam conducted by NCERT.

User Guide to fill the Rajasthan NTSE Stage 1/STSE Exam


Step 1

Visit and Download the application form. After Download Take a printout.

Step 2

Use only black/blue ball point pen to fill the application form.

Provide all the necessary details in Capital Letters and double check the information to work against the cancellation of the form.

Write your name and your father’s name on the back side of the passport sized photo which is to be attached on the Application form

Candidates belonging to SC/ST must attach attested copies of certificate from SDM/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar.

Disability certificate (having a disability, not below 40%) as per PWD act must be issued by CDMO (Chief Distt. Medical Officer. Without these certificates, the prescribed concession for SC/ST/ Disability category shall not be given.


For SC, ST, and PH – A copy of caste, reservation, category, and disability certificates must be attached along with the application form.

For OBC Candidates – OBC or Other Backward Class applicants will also be required to send a copy of their caste certificate attached with the application. Only ‘Non-creamy layer’ students will be able to avail the reservation. 

  • Applicants must locate and identify their caste/ community in the ‘Central List of OBCs’ by NCBC (National Council of Backward Classes.

It is essential to attach caste certificate (OBC/SC/ST) and Certificate for a Physically Challenged group, Certificates should be attested . if the candidate of OBC/SC/ST/PH does not attach the attested photocopy of caste/disability certificate with application form they will be treated as a general candidate.


Step 3

After Filling the form You should Submit the Forms in Your School Along with Fee.Provide School with Your Complete Address ,Email Id And Mobile Number.


It Is school’s responsibility to fill out the application form online


Instructions and Steps for School(Not For Students )

Step 1

Schools affiliated to Rajasthan Board Can use the Login ID And Password Provided by the State Education Board.Other Schools Can Request Login Id and Password From State Education Board Office.

Step 2

Fill the forms of all the students using detailed provided by the student in the application form. After filling all the forms Print provisional forms for verification and verify and match all the details with the application form.

For Head Of the Institution: Head of the institution is advised to check that attested photocopy of mark sheet of 9th class, SC/ST/OBC Certificate, Disability Certificate issued by CMO and income certificate for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidate is attached

Step 3

After all the corrections use DATA LOCK to lock the data. you will not be able to change the data after data lock . after locking the data generate the challan for payment of application fee 

for online payments use ICICI Bank

for cash payments use Baroda Rajasthan Kshetriya Gramin Bank After Paying the fee Login and Add details of Your Transaction Number And Speed Post All the documents(Income certificate/Caste Certificate/Application form/Disability Certificate and Two copies of Challan ) to Education Board in an envelope. Write NTSE STAGE 1 EXAMINATION 2018-2019 On the envelope.


Last date to pay the fee through challan without late fee- September 18, 2018

To Get The Login ID and Password(For NON-RAJASTHAN BOARD SCHOOLS)

School is Required to Send A Request Letter Requesting Login ID And Password Written On the LETTER HEAD Of the School with Mobile Number And Signature Of HEAD OF THE INSTITUTION.

Mail the Letter to and ID and Password will be sent on Same E-Mail


Admit Cards Will be Available One Week Before the Exam. students are advised to have a photocopy of admit card for his/her record as admit card will be submitted after the exam.

The question paper will be given to the student.
