State Level NTSE-1 Exam is Conducted By Directorate of Education, New Delhi for the state and Selected  Candidates will be recommended for NTSE STAGE 2 Level Which happens under the supervision of NCERT Delhi.

After clearing both stages, Approximately 1000 students are selected for a monthly scholarship. (After Stage 2 Exam).

candidates are selected in the stage -I and their names are recommended to NCERT, for appearing in stage-II of the examination.

Delhi State Quota for Stage 2 is decided by NCERT depending on total number of enrollment of students in class 9 and 10.

Eligibility for NTSE Exam

Students studying in class 10th in the current academic year from any recognized school in Rajasthan including Kendriya Vidyalaya(Central School) by KVS, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya by Navodaya Samitis and schools affiliated to C.B.S.E. & I.C.S.E. Boards New Delhi Muncipal Corporation.

Any Regular student of Class 10th from a recognized school and having minimum 60% (for General/OBC & 55% for Rest categories) in class 9th last year.

Candidate failed in class X is not eligible to sit in examination.

Students studying through ODL mode i.e.NIOS, SOS etc. can also apply provided he/she is not employed and is below the age of 18 years as on 01.07.2018 .

NTSE Stage 1 Exam Pattern:

From this year onwards English will not be the part of NTSE Exam and There will be NO Negative Marking for Any Wrong Question.

 *Exam Duration will be 150 minutes for Specially Abled students.


MAT Will Have Reasoning Type Questions to test Logical Ability of Students. Mental Ability Test will have 100 questions for 100 Marks.

SAT will Have Questions Testing Subject Knowledge of Students In Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Social Sciences. Scholastic Aptitude Test for 100 Marks with 100 Questions comprising Sciences (40) and Mathematics (20) Social Sciences (40).Each Question Carries one mark. All questions are Multiple Choice Questions with four options.

There will be no Language Comprehensive Test.

Medium of The exam -English, Hindi 


 There is a minimum cutoff requirement of 40 % in MAT and SAT separately for general category.

 and minimum cutoff of 32 % in MAT and SAT for SC/ST/PH (both paper separately)


NTSE Scholarship Detail:

All selected (1000) students will get a monthly scholarship as per decided by NCERT, Delhi. Here Selected Means Final Selection In the Merit List Prepared by NTSE After Two Stages of Examination.

  • For Intermediate students (11th and 12th) – Rs. 1250 per Month.
  • For Under Graduation & Post Graduation Students – Rs. 2000 per Month.
  • For PhD students – As per UGC Norms

Last week of January 2019 Result is generally declared in Last week of January. Only selected Candidates can appear in NTSE stage 2 exam conducted by NCERT.
NTSE  Stage 2 2019 May 12, 2019 conducted by NCERT.

Step 1

Visit http://www.edudel.nic.in/upload/upload_2017_18/ntse_dt_006092018.pdf and Download the application form. After Download Take a printout.

Step 2

Use only black/blue ball point pen to fill the application form.

Provide all the necessary details in Capital Letters and double check the information to work against the cancellation of the form.

Write your name and your father’s name on the back side of the passport sized photo which is to be attached on the Application form

Candidates belonging to SC/ST must attach attested copies of certificate from SDM/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar.

Disability certificate (having a disability, not below 40%) as per PWD act must be issued by CDMO (Chief Distt. Medical Officer. Without these certificates, the prescribed concession for SC/ST/ Disability category shall not be given.


For SC, ST, and PH – A copy of caste, reservation, category, and disability certificates must be attached along with the application form.

For OBC Candidates – OBC or Other Backward Class applicants will also be required to send a copy of their caste certificate attached with the application. Only ‘Non-creamy layer’ students will be able to avail the reservation. 

  • Applicants must locate and identify their caste/ community in the ‘Central List of OBCs’ by NCBC (National Council of Backward Classes.

It is essential to attach caste certificate (OBC/SC/ST) and Certificate for a Physically Challenged group, Certificates should be attested . if the candidate of OBC/SC/ST/PH does not attach the attested photocopy of caste/disability certificate with application form they will be treated as a general candidate.


Step 3

After Filling the form You should Submit the Forms in Your School Along .Provide School with Your Complete Address ,Email Id And Mobile Number.

Admit Cards Will be Available One Week Before the Exam. students are advised to have a photocopy of admit card for his/her record as admit card will be submitted after the exam.

The question paper will be given to the student.
